Anagha Kalvade

Anagha Kalvade, a recent MBA from the Kenan Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill, has a deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance issues that firms face. She is prepared to address result-driven corporate, social, and environmental risks and foster sustainable practices at corporations through consulting services for strategic development and business operations.  She is currently a strategy consultant for a startup in the food insecurity space and is also working at Total Impact Capital, which creates impact investment vehicles designed to make the world a better place.

Anagha is also a passionate engineer with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. She has worked in the semiconductor industry for twenty-four years as a hardware chip design engineer. Her passion for engineering and sustainability has led her to volunteer as a K-12 coach for many STEM competitions including NCSEF (North Carolina Science & Engineering Fair), ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair), and FIRST robotics.

As a mother of a child with life-threatening food allergies, eczema, and asthma, Anagha has been busy for the last decade creating new allergen-free healthy recipes. She is an advocate of providing children with food allergies a safe environment both in and outside the classroom so that they can continue to learn and grow. She has volunteered for FAAN (Food Allergy Asthma Network), FARE (Food Allergy Research Education), and FEI (Food Equality Initiative). Anagha is a practicing Yoga instructor, who has been voluntarily teaching free yoga in the community for last twenty years for age groups ranging from kindergarten children to senior citizens.
